Speakers
Dr Éamon Phoenix is a political historian and broadcaster and a member of the Taoiseach’s Expert Advisory Group on Commemorations.
Professor Diarmaid Ferriter is Professor of Modern Irish History at University College, Dublin and the author of eleven books on Irish history.
Dr Russell Rees is a political historian, former history teacher and author of ‘Ireland 1905-25’ .
Dr Margaret Ward is a lecturer at Queen’s University, Belfast, and the author of several books on women and the Irish Revolution.
Dr Alan Parkinson is former Senior Lecturer in Southbank University, London. He is also an author and his most recent book is ‘A Difficult Birth: The Early Years of Northern Ireland 1921-25’.
Dr Sinéad McCoole is a professional historian who has curated exhibitions on Irish History and Art in Ireland and the USA. She is the author of a biography of Lady Hazel Lavery and advised the Irish Government on the ‘Ireland 1916 Centenary programme’
