Who can apply?

You don’t have to be an existing group with your own constitution to apply.  You just need a minimum of three people who have an idea for a project - you could either ask another constituted group to sponsor your entry or you could adopt your own constitution.  Groups with a constitution are also welcome to apply.

When and where should projects take place?

Your project should take place between January and March 2019 and it must take place anywhere within the Clogher Valley area, which includes: Augher and Clogher, Aughnacloy, Ballygawley, Caledon, Castlecaulfield and Fivemiletown.

What can we apply for?
You can appy for up to £500 to pay for things such as equipment, one-off events, training costs, volunteer expenses, running costs and travel that will help the community of Clogher Valley to thrive.  There are a few things that we can’t pay for such as alcohol, political or religious activities, anything you’ve already paid for or completed and statutory activities.

How do I apply?
Complete the entry form and send it to Big Lottery Fund by Monday 19th November 2018.  This can be emailed to enquiries.ni@biglotteryfund.org.uk or posted to Big Lottery Fund, 1 Cromac Quay, Belfast, BT7 2JD

How does the process work?
  • When you submit your entry – we might give you a call for some further information.
  • If we receive too many applications, we’ll shortlist the projects to ensure a fair spread across the area, priortising groups with smaller incomes and those who have not previously received funding from us.
  • We’ll let groups know if they’ve been shortlisted by Friday 23rd November 2018.
  • The shortlisted projects will have the chance to present their projects at a community event on Thursday 6th December, this will give each group the opportunity to tell people about their group and project idea, as well as recruit volunteers and meet other groups.
  • The presentations will be short – no more than two minutes in length – don’t worry, just tell us your group’s name and some information about what you do, what the project is about and how this will be good for Clogher Valley.
  • The people attending the event will vote on which projects should be funded.

How does the voting work?

  • After all the projects have been presented, everyone from Clogher Valley who attends the community event will have the opportunity to vote.
  • Each person will have the opportunity to vote for a number of projects.
  • The groups that receive the highest number of votes will receive funding.
  • The successful projects will be announced at the event.
  • Any unsuccessful groups will get advice and support.

When and where is the community event?
The community event will take place at 7pm on Thursday 6th December in Clogher Valley Community Centre in Augher.  You must attend this event to receive the funding.
