Free Training for Community Groups on the Planning Policy for Wind Turbines

You may have noticed an increasing number of wind turbines and wind farms in recent years.  Throughout the region, the number of planning applications for this type of development remains high.

In light of this, Community Places and Rural Community Network will run a short training session on 6 September 2012 to provide information to community groups about the planning policy used to assess planning applications for wind turbines and wind farms. 

This training session will be of interest to community groups that are:

• concerned about wind energy development in their area;
• interested in installing their own wind turbine: or
• that would like to know more about this planning policy.
