Rural Businesses asked to Contribute to Digital Research

Businesses based in rural areas of Northern Ireland are being encouraged to contribute to a major research project about online or IT opportunities and barriers, by completing a survey.

Going digital - using mobiles, smartphones, laptops and tablets - is of growing importance to many businesses. Whether it's for online sales, skype meetings, e-purchase of supplies or filling in online tax and regulatory forms.

Research bodies, Rural England CIC and Scotland's Rural College, are carrying out a UK-wide research project to explore what rural businesses use digital for, what benefits it has brought them and what constrains their digital uptake.

They're keen to hear from any rural-based business, whatever its sector or size and however many years it's been in existance.

If you run or help manage such a business, please take ten minutes to complete the survey. If you know someone else who runs or helps manage such a business, please pass on the survey to them. Responses are being accepted up to 1st September.
