Where to next for the Community sector?

Below is an extract from Paddy Logue’s notes from the final Rural Enabler Conference - 8th March in Monaghan:

"It is a cliché to say that the conflict impacted on every aspect of Northern Ireland life. Luckily it’s over or so we’re told.

We have now moved into, what the peace and conflict textbooks describe as, “a demilitarised conflict” but which is known in polite society in Northern Ireland as “dealing with the legacy of the conflict”.

Today I want to look at three specific ways in which dealing with the legacy of the conflict is impacting on the community sector today. And in all three cases the impact is negative."
